Queen Series
This series celebrates the woman- big and beautiful!

Christmas Series
This series taps on the joy of Christmas taking in the reality of family situations with single parents, or just with an all women scenario.

Mind in Canvas Series
In this series, the artist wishes to evoke hope amidst pandemic. History has shown that quarantine has been an effective measure to curb the spread of pandemic. However, there are many studies that show anxiety, depression and confusion as long term effects of Covid-19 quarantine period. This series of artworks, “ Canvas in Mind,” sends a message that through our minds, we can soar freely and choose our own peaceful realities. We can use this period of quarantine to tap on our creativity and never lose sight of hope.

Cordillera Series
“The glorious unity of Man with nature”
The IFUGAO women from the mountain province are my inspirations for this series of work.
Through their imagery, I am applauding the beauty, strength, focus, and hard work of women.
In this series, the women are generally slim and hippy or overly shapely.
Most are either head carrying loads or are simply at awe with the green landscape under the yellow, orange or blue sky.
Unapologetically curvaceous, this is my brave expression with regard to beauty and strength. Beauty should not be dictated by society’s standards so that no woman
is neither too skinny or too big, too much or too little, too dark or too light.
Besides, the hips of women transcend beyond symbolisms of birthing
and fertility but in her capacity to care and to nurture.
The jars or loads are suggestive of the hard work that these women are capable to endure gracefully. Strength is not only physical but emotional, mental and spiritual as well. She is confident in her stance to show that women are able balance and stand strong no matter what the circumstances. A strong woman is a survivor, a person of character, and most especially, a child of God.

Bulkan Series
As an artist, Ana Algabre Hernandez creates for a purpose. She tells the Filipino story through writing and painting. This series is meant to encourage and help people see collateral beauty, so that even if things seem bleak, know that there is beauty waiting on the peripheries.

Tangahalan Series
I create for a purpose.
I tell stories as I feel one with
artists in the performing industry
who are affected by the 2019 pandemic:
Despite the pandemic, the odds and the challenges,
Artists must perform,
Artists must create,
Artists must deliver.

Koreana Series
“Empowering the Filipino marriage migrant women to be a source of joy and inspiration for themselves and for others— Let art in your life and your life be your art.”
In this series,I draw inspirations from the women of Korea, particularly the Filipino migrant women who are married to Koreans. Hence, the subject is symbolic of the Filipino marriage migrant women.
Notable in Koreana series is a vibrant mix of colors, the woman clothed in a Korean dress called Hanbok is in harmony with the pretty but almost unrealistic setting. This harmony is my interpretation of a woman not necessarily n her physical state but in her state of being which is that of joy, peace, and love as she embraces Korean culture and tradition.
I acknowledge the challenges that migrant women are faced with but with my mixture of color, I emphasize on positive disposition. The artist believes that choosing to be positive will not only create beauty but will also make it better for oneself and for those around as well.
Through art, I share my dreams, hopes and imagination for the Filipino migrant women in Korea who have left their families in the Philippines to join their spouses in Korea. My wish is for these women to be surrounded by “the Color of Joy,” as they embrace the Korean way of life in building a life of love with their Korean spouses and hopefully, in building a family gifted with happy bi-cultural children.

Flag Series
Evoking patriotism and genuine
love for country and countryman,
This series is best described in a poem.
MAHAL KITA PILIPINAS
ni Ana Algabre Hernandez
Mahal kita Pilipinas,
Sampu ng iyong kahinaan at lakas,
Ng iyong tagumpay at lumbay,
Ng iyong nakaraan at kasalukuyan.
Mahal kita Pilipinas,
Pangakong laban ay hindi bibitaw.
Ilalantad ang nagkukubling halimaw,
Itatanggol ang kaban na inaagaw.
Mahal kita Pilipinas Lilingapin ko ang liwanag
sa dilim na sumusunggab,
Kaakibat ang sigaw na kapara ng batingaw
Na kay Bathala’y may basbas,
Nang sa gayon ay walang pagal
ang hiyaw na aalingawngaw !
Lilikha, gagawa, bibigkas— Para Sa ‘yo, Pilipinas.
hanggang bukang liwayway
Ay muli at muling mapukaw.
Mahal kita Pilipinas,
Ngayon, bukas, at mat apos pa ang bukas.

Bulaklakan Series
My stay in Turkey has inspired me to conceptualise an artwork that is a fusion of Christian and Muslim tradition. As a Christian myself, I wish to show my appreciation to our Muslim brothers and sisters through my art, encouraging appreciation of culture, diversity, and faith.
The Philippine folk dance of floral garlands that started in the Tagalog region in northern Philippines is seen in my work. While this dance is dedicated to the Virgin Mary and performed during the early month of May as part of the Catholic celebration of the Holy Week, the strokes and color in this artwork are reminiscent of the Sarimanok, the legendary bird of the Maranao people from Mindanao. The Sarimanok is a popular symbol of Muslim art in Southern Philippines. “Sari” means cloth, usually in assorted colours and “manok” means chicken.

I am Woman Series
Look at the ocean,
The waves are furiously breaking the waters.
But look, she remains whole,
deep and magnanimous.

Tala Series
This series of artworks is meant to evoke empowerment,
expressing a different paradigm of the woman as a global citizen ,
a universal being.
THE woman of substance and integrity is the brightest star.

The universe conspires to light!
